Nikkei cuisine is not Japanese food with Peruvian ingredients or Peruvian food with Japanese ingredients. It is a cultural mix that dates back more than 100 years, when almost 7,000 Japanese traveled to Peru. This is how they began to cook Japanese food with the Peruvian ingredients available, creating dishes that combined the simplicity and precision of Japanese culinary techniques.
